What we save
An essential, HttpOnly anonymous cookie connects this browser to your answers, scores, puzzle state and consent choices. We store those records on this site, without asking for your name, email or location. Optional nicknames are displayed only where you agree to share them. Avoid using personal information as a nickname.
We record a small set of first-party events such as check completion, card export, invitation visit, joining a room and word self-ratings, linked to that anonymous session. We do not record typed message content or track you across other websites. Rate limits use short-lived keyed hashes of network addresses; the application does not store raw IP addresses.
Three separate choices
- Your report is only accessible with your device session, even if someone guesses or receives its URL.
- In a room, your nickname and score summary are visible to anyone holding its link. Do not share an invitation more widely than intended.
- The site leaderboard needs separate, voluntary public consent. You can withdraw your entry from the original result page.
How long data stays
Your session and owned data expire 90 days after this device identity is created. Rooms stop accepting access after seven days and are removed after 30 days. Minimal events expire after 30 days; rate counters after one day. Expired data is cleaned on session initialization and by the deployment’s daily cleanup job. You can delete your device’s records sooner below.
Withdraw or delete
Use “Withdraw my score” in a room or result. Hosts can close their rooms. Deleting this device’s data removes its reports, puzzle runs, hosted rooms, public entries and related events. Copies of images or links already shared outside this site cannot be recalled.
Clearing your cookie can prevent access or deletion of earlier records; they still expire on schedule. We do not promise anonymous identity verification or permanent cross-device storage.
Delete this device’s data
This is permanent. Any rooms you host will also disappear.
For adults, by design
